About Fundspring
Nonprofit teams were spending too much time piecing together funder research and too little time acting on it. Fundspring grew out of a shared wish to make that work easier.
Before Fundspring, the two friends behind it spent time with charities across Canada. The same problem kept surfacing: outdated funder lists, old PDFs, changing requirements, and useful notes scattered across previous applications. Finding a grant meant doing the research again.
Today, Fundspring is focused on helping U.S. nonprofit teams find and pursue stronger-fit private foundation and federal funding.
They wanted to help teams keep what they learned and turn it into a clear next step: a funder worth researching, a letter ready for review, or a follow-up with an owner.
The founders brought their software engineering experience to a practical question: how can grant research reflect what a nonprofit actually wants to do? Fundspring uses project details and AI-assisted comparison to surface relevant foundation giving history and federal opportunities.
Your team can inspect the evidence, choose where to focus, and carry that context into letters of inquiry, tasks, and outreach tracking.
